Electric forklifts are widely used for high-frequency handling operations in modern smart factories and warehousing & logistics parks. These vehicles are equipped with a large number of lithium batteries that require frequent charging. Traditionally, forklift batteries are charged in scattered areas on the ground, using open power strips or left unattended overnight. This practice poses severe safety hazards, including heat accumulation during collective charging, short circuits and fire risks, overcharging and battery bulging, as well as messy placement, collision damage and lack of unified supervision.
As forklifts are special industrial equipment, sites impose strict requirements on work safety, centralized management, traceability and standardized charging. The extensive traditional charging methods fail to meet factory safety standards and the demand for 24-hour non-stop operation. Dedicated equipment for centralized charging and management of forklift batteries is therefore urgently needed.
